How much to the drain covers cost?

Each drain cover will be priced differently according to our plan for yours.

My prices are currently predicated upon the Artists Union England day rates for a graduate which provides a day rate for a self employed graduate artist of £212.38 per day.

We then need to add the cost of materials, firings, and overheads into consideration when pricing our work. 

Each drain cover requires a bare minimum of two days to make. If you choose a simpler glazed outcome the cost will be less than if you would like me to decorate your drain cover with a glazed illustration by me inspired by conversation we have. If you want your drain cover to tell a story the decorating usually takes another two days. 

But remember, you are obtaining an original piece of art, which you have collaborated on through the telling of your story. It will hopefully bring you great joy!

Currently my work can only be obtained directly from me. The good news is that the North East of England is a fantastic place to visit! So drop by sometime!

Will my drain cover break in the cold weather?

My drain covers are made from a very hardy crank stoneware which means that there are many tiny pieces of recycled fired material in them. This holds the clay together more like cement and means that the pieces I make are frost proof. They will survive a cold snowy winter no problem.
